Several factors can influence the connection. Please check through this troubleshooting guide for VPN. It is a general guide, but if you check it thoroughly it fixes 95% of the PPTP VPN problems, including error code 619:

1. Make sure you are connected to the internet when trying to connect to our proxy or VPN servers. You must have an internet connection running to use our service.

2. Check your setup at the PPTP VPN Setup Page

3. Check your username and password. Both are case sensitive. Try typing them both instead of copy/paste to be sure that there are no extra characters or spaces.

4. Try connecting to other servers. We have 34 Servers to choose from. Check the server list.

5. If you are using a software firewall (like Zone Alarm, Norton Personal Firewall, etc.), try disabling them as a test. If you are then able to connect, check to see that PPTP VPN connections are allowed. Our PPTP VPN uses standard VPN port 1723.

6. If you connect to the internet via a router, check the admin page of your router. Port 1723 should not be blocked and PPTP pass-through should be enabled. If you are not sure how to do this email the support department at your router manufacturer's website and tell them you need to be able "login to the VPN server at work". This is very common and they have to have a solution.

7. The VPN requires some windows services to be active. Usually they are by default, but at this point if you are still not connecting, check to see that the following Windows services are enabled:

- Remote Access Connection Manager
- Telephony

To check these, go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Services > Services.

8. If you have checked through the above, barring any username issue on our server the VPN connection may not be possible. Try connecting with another connection method.
