VPN instructions for windows ME/98/98se.
- You will have to install Microsofts Virtual Private Network support. To
do this you will need your Windows installation CD or a directory with the
installation files. Press Start-->Settings-->Control Panel. Click
on Add/Remove Programs.
Press the Windows Setup tab as shown below. Check the box next to Communications, highlight and Press Details.
- Check the box next to Virtual Private Networking as shown below and
press on OK. Press OK again.
- Re-start your computer.
Installing Your Connection

Press My Computer -->Dial-Up Networking. Choose Make a New Connection. Choose Microsoft VPN Adapter from the Select a device list as shown below and then press next . (PLEASE NOTE: Our service is NOT DIAL-UP ! Windows 98 using these screens for both dial-up and vpn access. Your speeds will be as fast as your internet connection normally is.)
- Click here
to choose a server and then enter it here. For example, enter vpn4.findnot.com instead of the number you see below and press next.
(Do NOT enter 10.2.0.1)

Double click on your new connection and enter your username and password.
- Try to connect. If it fails try 3 times. If it continues to fail then download and install this patch from microsoft (DUN 1.4)
- If you still can't connect after 3 tries then email us and make sure you include your User id, Password, & the server you are trying to log into.
