What does Password Protector do?
Tired of trying to remember all your different passwords?
Sick of Internet Explorer's built in password saving that lets anyone using your
computer access your password protected accounts?
Now you can store all your passwords for easy access in one secure, seriously encrypted
file. One secure password that is easy to remember can protect hundreds of passwords
and associated website addresses. This prevents someone with physical access to
your computer from getting your passwords. If your computer was for some reason
hacked with a trojan, worm etc the hacker would not be able to get your passwords
since he would not have the password to open the encrypted file. An extra layer
countermeasure for peace of mind.

What are the minimum system requirements?

How does Password Protector save my data?
For your protection, your password list is saved as an encrypted
file (data.enc) in the same folder that you installed this software
in. This file is password protected and can only be opened using this
software. If you forget your password, you can delete this file and
run the software again in order to set up a new password, but all of
the information in your username/password list will be erased.
I downloaded the demo. If I buy will I have to re-enter
all of my data?
The full version of this software is a separate program, and installs
by default into a different directory than the demo version. Because
of this, the full version will not immediately have access to information
you entered into the demo version.
To make the usernames and passwords you created with the demo version
accessible to the full version, just follow these easy steps:
- Go to the demo version's program folder using Windows Explorer
- Copy the file named data.enc
- Go to the full version's program folder
- Paste the file
- When asked if you would like to replace the existing file, click
Yes.
The next time you open the Full version, you will have access to
all the information you entered into the demo version. Keep in mind
that you will need to enter the Demo version's password to access this
information.
