The FBI has quietly built a sophisticated, point-and-click surveillance system that performs instant wiretaps on almost any communications device, according to nearly a thousand pages of restricted documents newly released under the Freedom of Information Act.
The surveillance system, called DCSNet, for Digital Collection System Network, connects FBI wiretapping rooms to switches controlled by traditional land-line operators, internet-telephony providers and cellular companies. It is far more intricately woven into the nation's telecom infrastructure than observers suspected.

George Orwell wrote about this in '1984'! It's not just fiction anymore, it's REAL, it's HERE and you need to know about it! I think it's a good thing, in the fight against terrorism, etc.. but imagine the abuses that are possible!

And we are still using U.S. based findnot servers to protect our privacy??
I understand the need for speed but we MUST have some offshore servers, not too far from the U.S., for higher privacy.
