Anonymous Payments

Whenever one uses an anonymous internet provider the question of how to make a payment and remain anonymous comes up. We will discuss these issues below.

FindNot.com security and privacy protocols were put together based on conversations with people well versed with internet security and anonymity, ex law enforcement people, asset recovery specialists who trace money internationally, offshore bankers, private investigators who trace people activities and others who deal with these problems on a daily basis. FindNot.com provides world class solutions to privacy concerns.

Q) How anonymous is paying by credit card?

A) The protection is there. Again you are protected by the anonymous IP address which can't be associated to any given user(s) due to our log file policy. All logs are deleted after 5 days, we do not store them. So we have the name on the credit card but it is impossible to associate an IP address to the name. Once again you are protected.

Q) What about E-Gold?

A) E-Gold is as anonymous as you can get. There are in a privacy oriented jurisdiction and are not collecting any ID on users, so they don't know who you are. They do require an e-mail account but that is not a problem. Go to www.hushmail.com and open up a free e-mail account. Hushmail does not pass on your IP address in their e-mail, they have it but in this case E-Gold won't and hushmail is also in a privacy jurisdiction. Now to layer the protection you can do as follows: One creates an E-Gold account using their real bank account and e-mail address to send a wire and pay openly for the Gold through a E-Gold merchant (go to their website to see a list of E-Gold sellers) who then places this gold in your account so there is a link between you, the gold selling merchant and this E-Gold account. In the USA, E-Gold merchants want to communicate with you by telephone as well. Now the trial must be obscured some. So you create another alias E-Gold account and make a payment to it and then do same thing again for another layer of security. This last E-Gold account can be used to pay for our service. Imagine one going through an attempt to serve subpoenas in an offshore jurisdiction repeatedly from one account to another. Never going to happen there that is why they are called privacy jurisdictions. E-Gold is an offshore entity itself and is probably most uncooperative at best with requests for information from any source, so the security should be sufficient for most. Using different free e-mail services outside of the EU and USA is a good idea. I would call this scenario untraceable for all practical purposes. See Internet Privacy is still possible.

Q) What about FindNot.com getting subpoenaed for payment information?

A) Good question but for whose payment information are we being subpoenaed? We can't cross reference IP addresses to user names at a certain time and date, because we only have logs for 5 days. Most trouble starts with an IP address not a name. They start with an IP address and try to work a trail to convert that to a name and address so they can harass, sue, or do something worse depending on the situation. Remember there is a lot of identity theft, electronic stalking, harassing etc going on out there not just lawsuits.

Q) If it can be established that I am a user of FindNot.com does that place me at risk?

A) No. It is perfectly lawful to use FindNot.com so what are you at risk for and whatever you did on the internet through FindNot is not discoverable so your privacy remains intact.

Q) What about paying by wire transfer?

A) Today banks will only let you do this if you have an account with them. This can be a problem unless you bank in a jurisdiction with serious bank privacy laws, and most of you aren't. Next the fee for international wires is typically $75 to send it and we get hit with a receiving fee of $15, so due to the economy of scale this is not a viable alternative to get into.

Q) What About paying by mailing in a money order?

A) We gladly accept US Postal money orders. See Here.
